John William Maloney, Chairman/CEO: John W. Maloney is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. and all its related companies. In his role as CEO, he oversees the comprehensive platform of all company activities. He coordinates the strategic objectives with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and all Senior Level Management and delivers these results to the Board of Directors. In addition, John is intricately involved in the decisions & all acquisitions that the company is engaged in. Prior to starting F.F.A.M. John was a founder, partner, and Chief Operating Officer of “Superior Asset Management,” another national account receivable management (ARM) company. In addition, John currently serves as acting Chairman of Investment Business Strategies, Inc. (a private equity investment company out of Florida).
Humbert Eugene Collins, Director/President: Humbert Gene Collins is President and Vice Chairman for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. In his role as President, he oversees the corporate development of the business including the national marketing platform as well as the daily interaction with all national clientele. Mr. Collins is also intricately involved with the asset purchases and corporate acquisitions the company undertakes. Prior to joining FFAM Gene was Vice Chairman of Compass Receivables Management Corporation, a publicly traded Company on the NASDAQ. “Compass” became the world’s third largest receivable management company before selling to NCO Group for one of the industries largest cash and stock deals at the time. The acquisition of “Compass” propelled NCO to the top, making the combined companies the largest receivables management corporation in the world.
Mary M. Maloney, Vice-President/Secretary: Mary Maloney serves as a Secretary/Director of the Board of Directors and Controller for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. and all its related companies. In her role as Controller, she oversees the daily management of all financial related activities. She coordinates the strategic financial objectives with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and all Senior Level Management. Prior to starting FFAM Mary was, and currently remains a partner of Investment Business Strategies, Inc., a privately owned investment company based in Florida, and Horizons Development Corporation, a residential development company in Georgia.
Robert A. Chalavoutis, Treasurer/CFO: Robert (Bob) Chalavoutis is Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. In his role as CFO, he oversees the financial operations of the business including the Accounting function as well as the daily interaction with the Bank. Prior to joining FFAM Bob was the Chief Operation Officer for Miller-Collins Investments, where he managed a loan and investment portfolio.
Steve M. Goldstein, Director/CMO, Division President: Steven M. Goldstein is an Officer and President/Chief Marketing Officer of "First Financial Asset Management, Inc." and the group of companies it owns and operates. In his role as Chief Marketing Officer/Division President he oversees the corporate development and National Marketing Platform as well as the daily interaction with all national clientele. Mr. Goldstein is intricately involved in the creation and implementation of FFAM "strategic growth" and "development planning" models. Prior to merging and joining FFAM, Steve was President/CEO of "Fidelity Risk Solutions, L.L.C." (previously "Johnson & Rountree International"). In his position, Steve dynamically maximized the diversification of the recovery portfolio to include Telecommunications, Banking and Commercial products. In addition, he positively enhanced Insurance relationships including the acquisition of several National clientele as-well-as cross product developments within client portfolios achieving a 92% growth rate within the first 12 months.

Senior Management Team

Matthew Maloney, SVP Asset Acquisitions & Business Development: Matthew Maloney is SVP of Asset Acquisitions & Business Development for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. In this role as SVP, he directly oversees the acquisition of the various distressed and non-performing assets (debts) and the subsequent disposition of pools at the end of the liquidation cycle on behalf of FFAM and its clients. He coordinates the service programs and liquidation schedules with all debt-purchasing clientele of FFAM who purchase and place non-performing portfolios with the Company and establishes budgetary conformity directly related to the clients needed cash flows with FFAM’s operations group. Mr. Maloney is instrumental in the creation & evolution of a standardized due-diligence process within FFAM’s Portfolio Services Group & negotiates contract terms with the prospective clients and provides oversight of all media, recourse and other post-sale activities.
Valerie Williams, Director of Human Resources and Training: Valerie Williams is Director of Human Resources and Training for First Financial Asset Management, Inc. As Human Resource Director she is responsible for hiring, training and the development of the staff throughout the entire company. Prior to joining FFAM, Valerie was Collection Manager for Fidelity Risk Solutions. Within this role she managed a unit of twenty or more collectors and increase collection fee by nearly 200%.
